Fixed Dialling Service

Fixed Dialling Service.

Dont want any mobile number to be called from your mobile? Simply bar outgoing calls by activating fixed dial service. Go to settings > cost setting (in some handsets - security setting)>fixed dialling & activate fixed dialling.
Airtel default pin 2 code - 4321
Aircel default pin 2 code - 0000
Reliance default pin 2 code - 0000
BSNL  - default pin 2 code - 0000
If your pin 2 code is blocked & your handset wants PUK 2 code , simply get PUK code from your operator & feed in , that also works.
If you want special numbers only to be called from your mobile , go to fixed dialling > numbers & add the desired numbers to the list.
When fixed dialling is active , you can also hide your contact list & will be also unable to delete call log & also cannot save any contact in your sim memory.
Fixed dialling works perfectly with aircel, BSNL & reliance but not with airtel.

All reset codes for Nokia (Symbian)

All format or reset codes for Nokia phones (Symbian)

Two types of reset can be done through keying the code
1. Soft Reset
2. Hard Reset
Soft Reset: Soft Reset reset restores the .ini files from the ROM. This will not erase data like stored photos, videos, ring tones, files and applications.
Hard Reset: Hard Reset restores the original Operating System of the Phone. In other words, you will get the software on the phone in factory released condition. Phone formats and deletes all the data including your contacts and files stored in your phone.

*#7780# is “reset”or "restore factory settings"(same as Menu>Tools>Settings>General>Factory settings). This resets the ini files, refreshing them from ROM,and should leave user data intact.
This is called a “ normal reset” or a “soft reset”.

*#7370# is “format”Once the command takes effect, the phone’s C drive will be formatted:all data on that drive will be erasedwith clean default files being written.
This is called a “deep reset” or a “hard reset”.

TOTAL RESTORE: (Do this if your phone does not boot up or start up) How to do it:1) Remove the battery, and reinstall it back.2) Press and hold these three keys together -Green dial key, Star key[*], Three key [3]3) switch ON the phone.4) Do not let go the three keys and on/off swich until you see the WELCOME screen displayed and just let it complete the boot process.

This can also be called a “deep reset”, or a “hard reset”.
With regard to data loss, data on a memory card should be safe from deletion. However, formatting can have unintended consequences; for example an application installed on a memory card may also have essential files placed on the phone’s C drive. When that drive is formatted, those files will be deleted, and thus the application (although still present on the memory card) may not function properly, without reinstallation.
